NEW & ENHANCED FEATURES

Manage Pre-Event Lobby

While booths are still being constructed or other content needs to be added to an event, the new option, “Hide the lobby from attendees until the event starts,” allows Administrators to hide all booths within the Event Lobby up until 15 minutes before the event begins. The setting is managed through a checkbox available when creating a new event or editing scheduled events.

  • Booth Owners, Representatives, Hosts, and Presenters are able to see all booths even if a pre-event lobby is hidden.
  • All controls on the left hand side panel in the pre-event lobby are still accessible to Attendees even while closed.
  • Representatives can still use “Invite to Chat” while the Event Lobby is closed.

Test Events & Series

Whether you’re testing out new event programming ideas, training staff on the Radancy platform, or preparing a demo event, the new Test Events functionality will simplify your event preparation. Administrators can designate whether an event will be live or used for testing purposes. Data collected from Test Events is excluded from account level reports. The Test Events functionality extends to Event Series as well, and both Test Events and Test Series otherwise offer the same features and functionality available in live events.

Magic Links

Magic Links, similar to the functionality offered by services like Slack, is a secure method to circumvent the need for a password and plays particularly well with password-less sign-up flows, such as those through third-party vendors like Talroo. Partners or vendors who work with existing customers to provide services such as third-party registration would be able to increase conversions from sign-up to registration simply through the use of password-less sign-ups.

When a user is created without a password, flows wherein Radancy asks the user to confirm their email will contain a Magic Link parameter that allows the user to be authenticated and continue with their registration. Users, who look for simple sign-ups, can expect a reduction in the number of steps and emails to confirm authentication prior to an event and easy access to the event after authentication via email or SMS messages.

IMPROVEMENTS TO EXISTING FEATURES

Rep Handoff

Rep Handoff has been enhanced to give Representatives greater control over the types of conversations they have within an event. Representatives can now limit whether they will meet with all interested Attendees or only pre-screened Attendees who are passed to them through the Rep Handoff feature. This enhancement is a great fit for hiring events where candidates are first screened by recruiters and then handed off to hiring managers.

Host Assignment Restrictions Lifted - Group Video & Webinars

Users can now be assigned as Hosts for more than one Group Video booth, Webinars Broadcast booth, or a combination of both booth types. This provides greater flexibility for events with limited support staff (e.g. a single Host can now enable/disable multiple Webinars Broadcast booths over the course of an event).

Scheduled Chat

Scheduled Chat provides a powerful way to review event registrants and engage with them in your next event. However, until now Scheduled Chat has reflected both registered users and users who created accounts but stopped short of completing registration. With the latest improvements to Scheduled Chat, you can filter between registrants and event signups to focus your team’s attention on the best people to chat with.
