Enable Rep Handoff

Rep Handoff allows Representatives to pass candidates/attendees to other Representatives within their specific chat booth or other booths within a Hiring Event, depending on your event settings. Representatives in a Scheduled Chat can hand off candidates after their chat finishes. This allows top candidates to move seamlessly through the interview process and ensures they speak with the right people.

Representatives can manage their own chat settings and choose to chat only with candidates who have been pre-screened for them, increasing the quality of their connections. If the Representative is also conducting chats in the booth, the handed-off candidate is placed in their chat queue and prioritized above regular chats within the booth. When both the Representative and the candidate are available to chat, they are automatically connected.

  1. From your Event Home, select Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Select Chats.
  3. Under Other, enable your Rep Handoff settings:
    • Allow Rep Handoffs — The default Rep Handoff setting only allows Representatives to hand off candidates within their assigned chat booth.
    • Allow Rep Handoffs between booths — Representatives can also hand off candidates to Representatives assigned to other booths in the event.
exclamation-circle-45px.png While scheduled chats do not take place in event booths, a Representative's booth assignment does affect their ability to hand off a candidate. If you would like a Representative conducting a scheduled chat to be able to hand off a candidate to any booth in the event, regardless of booth assignments, you must also select Allow Rep Handoffs between booths. Otherwise, Representatives can only hand off candidates to Representatives assigned to the same booth.

The Permit participants to reconnect setting can affect Rep Handoffs. By default, a candidate cannot connect with the same Representative twice. Enable this setting to allow candidates to reconnect with a Representative they've already talked to after a certain time limit.
